This is one of the most important and least understood features that combine to make a Wacom Tablet and Photoshop the perfect digital darkroom. I've met folks who have used a Wacom tablet for years and had no idea about changing brush properties.

The video will teach you how to set the Pressure Sensitive Brushes so they react the way you want them to react - that is changes in size, opacity, color and scattering according to the pressure you apply on the pen.

Local control allows you to change the opacity of one part of an image without affecting the overall image without using selections. It is done entirely with the Wacom Pen Tablet and a Layer.

This is a fabulous technique and very easy to use once you know how to set the brush and the layer in Photoshop.

The video demonstrates the technique with Corel Painter Essentials 2 which is included in the Graphire 4 package and it can be done with Corel Painter Essentials 3 as well as any version of Painter.

Your skill with selections in Photoshop is very important. There are many different ways to make selections and this video deals with a method know as Quick Mask.

This is a very effective technique and it allows you to be very precise in your selections. Using a Wacom pen tablet makes this method even more effective because of the precision and pressure sensitivity of the pen.

How to create a reflection of an image using layers and gradients in Photoshop.

This is a straight forward technique which creates outstanding results.

One of the most visited pages on my site is Remove Shine. It is a technique that I found a few years ago and recently I figured it may be of interest to a few people.

A lot more than a few are interested so this video was created to show how it is done. There are also a couple of other procedures in the video - eye sharpening, teeth whitening and pressure sensitive selections.

None of the changes made in the video are dramatic but all of the changes working together produce a dramatic improvement in the overall picture.

This technique can be done with any version of Photoshop Elements as well as all versions of Photoshop.

The newest consumer products from Wacom (Bamboo, Bamboo Fun Small and Bamboo Fun Medium) are a really nice upgrade from the Graphire.

Now this is a really neat and useful application in Windows Vista (Premium and above). You can take notes and save them as notes or you can convert your notes into text.

The only criteria for recognizing notes as text is your ability to write legibly!

From time to time you may want to replace the background in one of your images. If it is a simple image then a standard selection will probably work.

If you have a complicated background however, you will need a bit more selection horsepower - like channels.

Turning a photograph into a line drawing can be very pleasing aesthetically. There are a number of different methods to create a pleasing line drawing and this method seems to be the best of the bunch.

High key images are dramatic, wonderful to look at and very popular with pretty much everyone.

The technique for creating these amazing images is surprisingly simple. This technique will only work on the full version of Photoshop. Elements users will have to take a different path to arrive at the same place.
