Our Partly Painted Butterfly

Partly painted butterfyly

Here is our partly painted butterfly - it is a work in progress!

Painting with a Wacom brush in Painter is a truly unique experience. As you press harder the paint you are applying does some interesting things.

The brush stroke gets larger and more rich in color. You may have to hit Ctrl-z or Cmd-z a few times to get it the way you want it to look.

If worse comes to worse and you are using layers then simply click the little trash icon at the bottom of the layer palette, make a new layer and start again. If you are working on a copy of the file then go to File>Revert to go back to the original file - it is that simple.

The point is to have fun with the software and your tablet - and, of course, to produce your masterpiece!

You can experiment with other brushes to see how they work out, not just the Digital Watercolor brush. You have a lot more brushes to experiment with in Painter Essentials.
