The Finished Butterfly!
Here is the finished butterfly! If you look closely you can see where pressure variances changed the color and saturation of the digital watercolor. Look at the wings of the butterfly, for instance - most of the color is one shade with varying pressure on the brush which makes it appear as if many different colors were used. These results would be almost impossible to achieve with a mouse! I like the digital watercolor brush because it seems so natural with a line drawing and it does not completely cover the line drawing. You can, however, use different brushes to do the same thing. Go ahead - experiment and try different things! Painting drawings like this is a lot of fun to do and can keep you busy for hours. It is an especially great way for kids to spend time because they really get into their painting and they are exercising their creative muscles at the same time!
