About Me And This Site.

Hi – my name is Richard and this is my story about the Wacom tablets and this site. I have had a blast creating this website because the Graphire and the Intuos are truly incredible products.

When I was first introduced to the Graphire I thought that it was the best addition to a computer system anyone could ever make! In the years since then nothing has come along to change my mind.

My enthusiasm for the tablets knows no bounds.

I have had a love of photography for years and spent many happy hours in my black and white darkroom. When we moved from one coast to the other and back the first room to be completely operational was my darkroom.

Now my black and white darkroom is Photoshop CS2 with my tablet and I have as much fun with my digital darkroom as I did in the real darkroom. The only thing I miss is the acidic smell of the stop bath - strange, huh?

It’d be great if they made little acidic smelling atomizers for those of us who came from that background. We could just kind of spritz it every once in awhile to bring back the old darkroom smell!

Despite my love of photography and working with photographs I am not what you would call an artistic person – much to my dismay. I am, however, a pretty good sponge. When I see a new technique with Photoshop or a better way to compose my pictures I am generally capable of reproducing what I see more or less accurately.

You do not have to be a artistic person to use a tablet - I am a perfect example of that. I have often heard people say "oh, I couldn't use that - I am not artistic".

Being artistic is not a prerequisite for using a tablet. It's about your ability to follow instructions, your desire to learn something new and your wish to have your precious photographic memories look the best they can.

Once you know how to use a tablet correctly you can do amazing things with your photographs and be rightfully proud of your achievements.

If you have any comments or would like to submit a tablet technique please let me know through the Contact Page. It is a pleasure sharing what I know and learning new techniques from other tablet fanatics.

About This Site

I have wanted to do a site like this for a couple of years but every time I started investigating website creation I came away confused and frustrated. The low cost of website hosting was appealing but the back end costs were not.

One day I found a product called SiteBuildIt! (SBI) From SiteSell and the more I read the more convinced I was that I had found the answer to my website creating search.

Everything that was an extra cost with the other website companies is included with SiteBuildIt!, including keyword brainstorming, step-by-step instructions, site templates and perhaps the most valuable resource of all – the SBI Forums.

The Forums are where you go to ask questions of SBI owners who started before you and will happily guide you on your website creation adventure.

So far my experience with SBI is exactly as advertised - no - it is way more than advertised!

Truly, this is MAGIC!

Rather than carry on and on about this – you can click on the following link and find out about SBI for yourself. If you have any questions I can be reached through the contact page.

Cheers,

Richard
